Slipped Disc

Technically, there is no such thing as a ‘slipped disc’. This term has become unpopular in recent times as a more specific definition is required. Slipped disc is a general term which indicated an intervertebral disc problem.
A more specific diagnosis is that the disc is either herniated (protrusion), or bulged.Unfortunately, physicians refer to a slipped disc when a more precise diagnosis is best. Other care providers such as chiropractors, naturopaths, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and osteopaths usually more specifically diagnose the issue as either a bulging disc or a herniated disc.
Slipped discs are very common and are easy to treat. A conservative approach to treating disc problems is always the wisest course of action as there is a very high 5-year failure rate for spinal surgery.
We have a great deal of experience in helping people that have a slipped disc. Our experience in this area is unmatched in the Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Milton area.
